Declan Tuite
Declan Tuite is a lecturer and researcher in the School of Communications in DCU. His main focus in DCU are the MSc. And Bsc. in Multimedia. Declan has a background in production having worked in studio and live as a sound engineer, research and development in interactive TV and Web services before taking up a teaching role in DCU 2001.
His main research interests include production methodologies for new media, algorithmic composition and the creation of responsive media systems. His teaching covers three main strands; multimedia authoring, new media and society & web development
Declan is currently researching his PhD around eParticipation and Inclusion. He is looking at the effects of Internet use on Social Capital. His research focuses on the mix of relationships and interactions carried out both online (mediated) and in face-to-face situations.
