Lee Campbell designed this Website, when he and the rest of his team (Jet Stream) were entering the f1 in schools competition (www.f1inschools.ie), Everything turned out well for them as they are now the Junior Cycle National All Ireland Champions 2011 after winning. Throughout the website Lee has tried to make it sleek and easy to use, so on the homepage he has included a post flicker which flicks through the latest posts and pictures. Lee has said that ‘he wanted people to be as involved as they much as they could on the website with our project, so I decided to add some fun, interactive and interesting elements to the website so I made a game, in which you could race our f1 in schools car down the track, I also used youtube videos because a video is a lot more interesting than lots of text. As well as that I uploaded pictures of our car and pictures of our journey through-out and i uploaded our portfolios in to flip books to make like flicking through the real thing.’

According to the 2011 Judging Panel;  they were impressed by this website’s slick look and lots of content. Visitors can really get a feel for, and learn a lot about, its chosen topic. It’s also very easy to navigate and the integration of social media is a nice touch.

The judges were so impressed with Lee Campbell and the work of the other students of Presentation College Carlow that this entry was awarded with the Gig a Grand Prix 2011 Award.
