St. Flannan’s N.S. School Website
Our school is a really fun place to be. There are always exciting and interesting things going on. Our old website did not show any of this. It was plain, boring and really out of date. We found out that nobody really used it. It did not show a true picture of our school. So last June we decided it was time to update our school website. We persuaded two of our teachers, Mrs. McGeary and Miss Blackwell, to help us. We wanted a new and exciting website that would show all the fun things we do at school.
With the help of our teachers, we made a list of all the things we wanted. It was important for the website to be colourful and full of fun things to do. It had to show all our news and events. It had to have lots of pictures and a section for every class to show their work. Our school enrolment booklet was the inspiration for the design of the website. As you can see it is fun, colourful and more importantly unique. We wanted our school website to stand out from the others and show how amazing our school is. Miss Blackwell did most of the hard work setting up the new website, but we saw how a website is created from beginning to end.
Now we can decide what needs to be added or changed so our website is completely up-to-date and more useful for everyone. Our next challenge is the help all the teachers to work the class blogs. We want to make it easier for them to show all the nice work we do at school. Our new school website has turned into a great learning experience not just for us but for everyone in our school.
