Conor here,
Have you ever wanted to design your own website, whether it be for a local club, your own interests or just to express your thoughts to the world! Well it’s a lot easier than you think! Lots of people would lead you to believe that it costs thousands of euro to do but it is actually quite cheap and even free if you know where to look!
Lots of us have bebo pages which are extremely easy to make and this is a good starting point. It can work as a simple but effective website as a fan club etc. The limitations of these websites are that you can only have one page and there are ads on the page!
To make a simple page on bebo you must have an email first.
There are lots of free email accounts you can use all you have to do is google them. www.bebo.com
You can also try your hand at making you own skin to suit your webpage. http://www.bebo.com/c/skin/tutorial
Ill be updating my blog with more tips and tricks soon. Watch this space!

For the first time in Ireland, the search begins in schools nationwide for Ireland’s most talented and innovative users of the Internet with the launch of the eircom Junior Spider Awards.
Seeking entries from students in primary and post primary schools in the Republic and Northern Ireland, this unique competition will recognise successful and clever ways in which students use the web to benefit their local school communities. It will also provide a benchmark of excellence and best practice in the use of the Internet in education in schools on both sides of the border.
