St. Laurence O’Toole’s CBS Dublin
In December 2009 our school, St. Laurence O’Toole’s CBS, was among the award winners at the first ever Eircom Junior Spider Awards. Three of us who are in the school computer club went with Andy to represent the school and collect the award. We had a really good day and even got no homework.
We started this website in December 2008. Andy has a blog about windsurfing and he set up a page for third class. Our very first post was on 28th November, 2008. It was about the Egyptians and you can click here to see it

The other classes saw this and thought it was good so Andy set up a blog for all the classes. Then the principal saw it and he asked Andy could we set up a page for the school with links to all the other pages. So he did and that is how the third class blog became our school website.
What is good about our website is that everybody in the school gets a chance to put stuff up on it like stories, poems and projects. We also take loads of photos and videos in our school and now we have an easy way to show them to everyone. It is a really good way for our families to see what we do in school. Our Miss says that the website is a living history book and that we will be able to look back at it on the Internet forever and even show it to our own kids when we are old.
